Pima’tisowin e’ mimtotaman
Danser Pour La Vie | We Dance For Life
Vision
Pima’tisowin e’ mimtotaman is an Indigenous kinship-led initiative to honour the spirits of our MMIWGT2S+ loved ones. Our model is a “Families First” inclusive kinship approach to build art-based healing gatherings on the land, in ceremony, in three regions – Ontario, Quebec, and Western – with Indigenous families and communities at the epicenter of the ongoing crisis of MMIWGT2S+.
Mission
Engage MMIWGT2S+ relations in the creation and hosting of MMIWGT2S+ kinship-led, art-based healing gatherings on the land in three different regions – Ontario, Quebec, and Western. Build a National Campaign centered on decolonial, trauma-informed healing and transformative justice by and for MMIWGT2S+ families.
We provide safer spaces for MMIWGT2S+ relations to access diverse healing practices and opportunities to restore memories of their loved one(s).
We will develop a national MMIWGT2S+ kinship-led campaign centered on decolonial relations, multi-generational and complex trauma-informed healing, and transformative justice by and for MMIWGT2S+ relations.
